Baroque old town & modern art at the Danube

The inner city is located directly at the Danube, only some minutes from the port.

In the context of a guided city walk we see the beautiful old town with its baroque facades. Passing by the Old Market, we reach the Country House and walk through small streets to the Bishop’s Palace and the Cathedral of Linz.

We can combine the city walk with the excursion train (Linz City Express) through the old town or a bus drive to the „Pöstlingberg“, to enjoy the wide panorama over the city (on demand with coffee & the famous “Linzer cake” at the castle).

Optionally we can also do this tour with the train “Pöstlingbergbahn”.

Interested guests can also visit the "Lentos Museum" with modern art and the Ars-Electronica-Center.

Abbey St. Florian

Abbey & emperor rooms from the Austrian baroque

Near Linz we find the Abbey St. Florian, where our guests get an impression of the life of the monks in the baroque era as well as of the imperial courtyard life, as there are some Imperial rooms maintained in St. Florian.

During our tour through the abbey we see the basilica, library, marble hall as well as the Altdorfer altar.
